Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how monk collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit bemonk.ai, request a sample or demo, create an account, purchase a subscription, or use our AI-assisted SEO, GEO, and paid advertising services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect contact and business information you provide, including your name, email address, company details, website domain, marketing goals, form responses, support messages, account details, and transaction information. Stripe processes payment-card information; monk does not receive or store your full card number. We also collect device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, referral source, and interaction data through cookies and similar technologies.
2. Connected Accounts and Customer Content
When you connect a CMS, analytics property, search tool, advertising account, tag manager, or other platform, we may access account identifiers, permissions, settings, website content, keywords, campaign data, audiences, creatives, budgets, conversion events, and performance metrics needed to provide the service. You choose which accounts to connect and may remove access through the applicable platform or your monk account.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate the services; research, create, review, and deliver content and campaigns; monitor, optimize, and report on performance; process payments and administer accounts; provide support; protect the services and prevent abuse; understand website usage; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use personal information for a materially different purpose without notice and any consent required by law.
4. AI Processing and Human Review
Our services use automated tools and artificial intelligence to analyze information, generate materials, and support campaign and SEO work. Authorized monk personnel may review customer inputs, connected-account data, and generated outputs to provide quality control and support. AI and infrastructure providers may process information to perform these functions under their terms and our arrangements with them. If you require a specific provider, retention, or model-training commitment, contact us before connecting data; that commitment must be confirmed in writing.
5. Payments
Stripe processes subscription payments and related transaction information. monk does not store full payment-card details. Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy and security practices.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation, analytics, and service improvement. Our public website currently uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which may collect IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referral data, clicks, scrolling, and other interactions. You can limit cookies through your browser or device settings, although some site features may not function as intended.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information with hosting, infrastructure, AI, analytics, support, security, and payment providers; connected platforms at your direction; professional advisers; authorities when legally required; and a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money. Some laws define selling or sharing more broadly, including certain analytics activities, and applicable rights depend on your location.
8. Retention and Deletion
We retain information while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the services, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. Deleted data may remain temporarily in backups or with service providers under their retention cycles. Disconnecting an integration stops new access but may not immediately remove information already included in completed work or required records.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we handle, including access controls and encryption in transit where supported. No system or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security incident, we will investigate and provide notices required by applicable law.
10. International Processing
monk and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for cross-border processing.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a request. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. You may also disconnect integrations and unsubscribe from non-essential marketing messages using the available account or message controls.
12. Children
The services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. A policy update does not authorize a materially different use of previously collected information without any notice or consent required by law.
14. Contact Us
For questions, privacy requests, or complaints, use the contact form on our website and identify the request as a privacy matter. We will review and respond within the period required by applicable law.
